Admissions
At CMEC, your child and your family are the agenda. Parents are
the primary educators of their children. Our faculty realizes the importance
of parent participation and partnership. To that end, CMEC encourages
visits to several schools before making a decision. We also require
parents to spend about an hour observing in the classrooms and speaking
with faculty. It is best to come without your child for the first visit.

Upon deciding to enroll, you and your child come for a ‘child
visit.’ Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year. During the
first week, (sometimes longer) we strongly encourage parents to make
sure their child is somewhat settled before they leave. Placement
in classrooms and programs is at the discretion of faculty and administration,
especially for the third (Kindergarten) year.

Parent input is extremely important, therefore, we do our very best
to honor parent preferences. Above all, as Montessorians, we realize
that physical, social, emotional, and academic development are equally
important and we strive to provide for your child’s unique needs
in all four areas.
